Stewardship: Not the End, But the Beginning of Your Major Gifts Program - Nick Jaffer

August 24, 2018

Leading fundraising researcher and Director of the Centre for Sustainable Philanthropy at the University of Plymouth, Dr Adrian Sargent, states that a 10% improvement in donor loyalty has the potential to provide a 200% increase in the lifetime value of our donor base.

As the commercial sector has long demonstrated, and the non-profit sector has similarly shown, an organisation’s best customers or most likely donors are likely to come from its existing pool of supporters.  So why does it seem that good stewardship – loving and treating your donors with respect – is often so neglected?

This session is about creating and delivering an effective Stewardship program so that you can nurture long-term, meaningful relationships and, in the process, motivate greater support for your institution’s mission.
